Can’t Fight the Midnight

I’m gonna take a little different route for my first post. I going to feature an album that’s been on my mind lately.

That would be “Can’t Fight the Midnight” the 1989 debut and the only solo album by Jimmy Harnen, former lead singer of the band Synch.

This album meant a lot to me, at a time in my life that I was set up and accused of crimes (B&E, Forgery, Thief by taking) against my company, friends, and the one I loved.

I was found innocent after my framers confessed, but only after being picked up at work Mirandized, and taken to the back seat of a police cruiser. I never really regain the respect of my boss, subordinates, peers, or friends. I also lost my Southern Lady, who looked at me with doubt and fear now!

Anywho, after failed business, I found work in Calhoun where a friend gave me this album on cassette. It spoke to me, even seemed to mimic my trials and I played it until it dragged so bad!

(Note: Jimmy Harnen president of Republic Nashville)

So here it is I think a really great album and there should’ve been more!

Enjoy
