Doug Stone was born Douglas Jackson Brooks on June 19, 1956, in Marietta, Georgia. A singer of some of the most iconic country songs in our history. I’ve chosen to feature his Greatest Hits Volume album, but please check out his other work.
Relistening to the album, I was reminded just how much Doug Stone’s music spoke to me and the everyman. I was moved somewhat, or was it just the dust in my eyes!
Personal note: He is a super super nice guy just a normal person always accommodating to his fans. He used to shop in my store in Bremen when he was back home. Even helped he choose some ribs for a cookout and also gave him advice on making vegetable soup.
